French technique. Azorean soul.
Your table, your evening.

"I am Ludo — private chef and food artisan. Trained in France, forged in professional kitchens across England and Canada, I've brought my craft to São Miguel.
Atelier Ludo is where I work today — preparing private dinners in your home, combining French technique with the finest local ingredients of the Azores."

The journey
Trained in France at the Lycée Hôtelier de Guebwiller — earning the CAP, BEP and BAC Pro Cuisine — Ludo built his career across four countries over three decades. From Commis Chef to Sous Chef in England. Executive Chef in Canada. And ultimately Chef and Owner of Agricola Street Brasserie in Halifax — awarded Restaurant of the Year 2016 by the Taste of Nova Scotia Awards. In 2023, Ludo brought all of that to São Miguel. He found an island with extraordinary produce, a growing appetite for quality dining, and decided to stay.
The philosophy
Every menu at Atelier Ludo starts with the same question — what's best right now? The freshest fish from the Atlantic. The beeef raised on Azorean pastures. The cheese aged in São Jorge. The tea grown at Gorreana — the oldest tea plantation in Europe, right here on the island. French technique is the tool. The Azores is the inspiration.
